City Council Actions from Feb. 4, 2020

 

5.         CONSENT CALENDAR: 

a.         Approval of Reading by Title and Waiver of Reading in Full of Ordinances on this Agenda.  (Pg 1) Approved.

*b.          Review and Approve that the Warrants, as Certified by the City/Agency Treasurer, are all Correct, Just, and Conform to the Approved Budget for FY 2019-2020.  (Pg 3) Approved.

c.         Authorize the City Manager to Award a Construction Contract to Grace Builders Inc. for the Cays Perimeter Wall Repair Project. (Pg 45) The Council authorized the City Manager to execute an agreement with Grace Builders, Inc. in the amount of $197,709 for the Cays Perimeter Wall Repair project.

d.         Acceptance of Transbay Pump Station Evaluation and Repairs Phase 2 Project and Direction to the City Clerk to File a Notice of Completion. (Pg 47) The Council accepted the Transbay Pump Station Evaluation and Repairs Phase 2 project and direct the City Clerk to file a Notice of Completion.

e.         Approve a Resolution Authorizing the Receipt and Appropriation of Fiscal Year 2019-20 San Diego Law Enforcement Foundation Grant Funds in the Amount of $1538.10. (Pg 49) The Council approved a resolution of the City Council of the City of Coronado authorizing the receipt and appropriation of Fiscal Year 2019-20 San Diego Law Enforcement Foundation Grant Funds in the amount of $1538.10.

f.          Authorize the City Manager to Enter into an Agreement with Emanuels Jones and Associates for State Lobbyist Services. (Pg 51) The Council authorized the City Manager to enter into a three-year agreement with an option for two, one-year extensions for state lobbyist services with the firm Emanuels Jones and Associates, and closed the subcommittee that was appointed to make the recommendation.

 

10.       CITY COUNCIL:

b.         Consideration of a Request from the Coronado Real Estate Association (CREA) to Host an Annual Paddle Board Race and Social, and to Waive the Glorietta Bay Park Permit Fee and Maximum Capacity Standard, the Nonprofit Fees Associated with the Rental of the Club Room, and the Ban on Alcohol in Glorietta Bay Park. (Pg 59) The Council approved the request of the Coronado Real Estate Association to host a paddle board race and a social; and waive the ban on alcohol in Glorietta Bay Park and the maximum capacity standard. Council approved charging CREA the Council established nonprofit rates for the Park permit and facilities rental, as well as directing CREA to reimburse the City for all costs incurred in providing services for the special event.
