On July 6, the City began broadcasting to its local TV channel 19 in high definition (HD). City Council and other public meetings are already streamed in HD over the Internet. Until this point, Charter/Spectrum used only a standard definition broadcast on Coronado's TV channel.
Residents who have a set-top box (STB) should now see programing in high definition. The STB is a digital, two-way communication cable-box device used to change channels. The STB is required for HD content delivery. Customers who need a STB for the high definition should visit the Spectrum store located at 1110 on Orange Avenue or contact Spectrum Customer Care at 833.267.6094.
