[ARCHIVED] Fireworks Information for Boaters for July 4

Fireworks over bay

The Coronado Fourth of July and Port of San Diego Big Bay Boom fireworks will take place from 9-9:30 pm on Tuesday, July 4. The displays will be fired off land at Stingray Point off Glorietta Bay and from 4 barges off Shelter Island, Harbor Island, North Embarcadero, and South Embarcadero. 1,000-foot radius safety zones will be around each barge in north San Diego Bay, and an 800-foot radius safety zone in Glorietta Bay. All mariners are to avoid the safety zones and use due caution when transiting outside these areas.
Coronado lifeguards will patrol Glorietta Bay daily from Sat., July 1 through July 4. There will be two anchorage areas established to allow boaters free anchorage for the July 4 celebration and fireworks show.
Check for more details and a map on the July 4 webpage.
