The City of Coronado is seeking residents interested in filling vacancies on several City of Coronado commissions. Please contact the City Clerk's Office for more information at 619-522-7320.

VACANCY:    One Member              CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION                    Available January 1, 2023
RESPONSIBILITIES:  Interprets and makes rulings in accordance with Civil Service regulations concerning the City’s Classified Service employees.   Members must file a financial disclosure statement upon assuming office, annually, and upon leaving office.   TERM:   Three (3) Year Term to expire December 31, 2025   APPLICATION DEADLINE:  November 21, 2022

VACANCY:    Two Members           CULTURAL ARTS COMMISSION            Available January 1, 2023 RESPONSIBILITIES:  To unify and advocate for the many and diverse art and cultural components in Coronado; ensure and improve the health of the arts community; and to seek outside funding as needed.  Members must file a financial disclosure statement upon assuming office, annually, and upon leaving office. TERM:  Three (3) Year Term to expire December 31, 2025  APPLICATION DEADLINE:  November 21, 2022

VACANCY:    One Member              HISTORIC RESOURCE COMMISSION       Available January 1, 2023
RESPONSIBILITIES:  Commission takes action regarding determinations of historic significance, Historic Resource Alteration Permits, and recommends Mills Act contracts.   Members must file a financial disclosure statement upon assuming office, annually, and upon leaving office.  TERM:  Three (3) Year Term to expire December 31, 2025  APPLICATION DEADLINE:  November 21, 2022

VACANCY:    One Member              MOBILITY COMMISSION                             Available January 1, 2023
RESPONSIBILITIES:  Commission makes recommendations on transportation issues by integrating all participants including cyclists, pedestrians, and public transportation; improving the commuter experience without detracting from Coronado’s quality of life.  Members must file a financial disclosure statement upon assuming office, annually, and upon leaving office. TERM:  Three (3) Year Term to expire December 31, 2025 APPLICATION DEADLINE:  November 21, 2022

VACANCY: Two Members   PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION           Available January 31, 2023 RESPONSIBILITIES:  To consider, research, and recommend plans and suggestions which promote recreational activities for the City. Members must file a financial disclosure statement upon assuming office, annually, and upon leaving office.   TERM:  Three (3) Year Term to expire January 31, 2026 APPLICATION DEADLINE:  December 22, 2022
