[ARCHIVED] Turkey Coloring Contest Winners Announced

Turkey Coloring Contest

Recreation & Golf Services and the Coronado Junior Women’s Club Turkey Coloring Contest received 165 entries this year (2022). Of those entries, nine winners were chosen in three age categories and presented with their awards at the November 15 City Council meeting. Winners received a stuffed plush turkey, a pie, and Coronado Currency, good at local businesses to purchase a special item for the family Thanksgiving celebration. Congratulations to all the winners and a special thank you to all the children who entered the contest. The entries are on display at the Coronado Community Center through December 2, 2022.

 Kindergarten and First Grade Category

  • First Place: Rowan Degree; first grade; Village Elementary
  • Second Place: Quinn Klamper; first grade; Silver Strand Elementary
  • Third Place: Jadon O’Brien; first grade; Village Elementary

Second and Third Grade Category

  • First Place: Declan O’Mahoney; third grade; Village Elementary
  • Second Place: Madelyn Wild; third grade; Silver Strand Elementary School
  • Third Place: Brooklyn O’Brien; third grade; Village Elementary

Fourth and Fifth Grade Category

  • First Place: Kaya Geleszynski; fourth grade; Sacred Heart Parish School
  • Second Place: Gretel Rinehart; fourth grade; Village Elementary
  • Third Place: Lucas Braga; fifth grade; Village Elementary
