5.         CONSENT CALENDAR

a.        APPROVAL OF READING BY TITLE AND WAIVER OF READING IN FULL OF ORDINANCES ON THIS AGENDA

         Approved.

 

b.         REVIEW AND APPROVE THAT THE WARRANTS, AS CERTIFIED BY THE CITY/AGENCY TREASURER, ARE ALL CORRECT, JUST, AND CONFORM TO THE APPROVED BUDGET FOR FISCAL YEAR 2021­22

            Approved.

 

c.         ACCEPT THE AQUATICS CENTER AND TENNIS COURTS LIGHTING IMPROVEMENT PROJECT AND DIRECT THE CITY CLERK TO FILE A NOTICE OF COMPLETION

            The Council accepted the Aquatics Center and Tennis Courts Lighting Improvement Project and directed the City Clerk to file a Notice of Completion.

 

d.         AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT WITH THE CORONADO COMMUNITY THEATRE TO WAIVE REQUIRED PAYMENTS TO THE CITY THROUGH DECEMBER 31, 2021

            The Council authorized the City Manager to execute an amendment to the agreement with the Coronado Community Theatre to abate monthly rent payments through December 31, 2021.

 

e.         AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO NEGOTIATE AND EXECUTE FOUR CONTRACTS WITH THE SELECTED SURF CONTRACTORS TO PROVIDE INSTRUCTION SERVICES AT CORONADO BEACHES

            The Council authorized the City Manager to enter into negotiations and execute contracts for surf instruction with Jan Baker, Ryan Wamhoff, Teevan McManus, and Jacob Halstead.

 

f.          ADOPTION OF “A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORONADO, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING ITS FISCAL YEAR 2021­22 PERSONNEL AUTHORIZATION AND COMPENSATION PLAN TO INCORPORATE COMPENSATION AND BENEFIT CHANGES”

            The Council adopted the resolution amending its Fiscal Year 2021­22 Personnel Authorization and Compensation Plan to incorporate compensation and benefit changes.

8.         PUBLIC HEARINGS:

a.         PUBLIC HEARING: CONSIDERATION OF A HISTORIC ALTERATION PERMIT FOR A REMODEL AND ADDITION, INCLUDING A REQUEST FOR EXCEPTIONS TO ZONING STANDARDS, AT 1043 OCEAN BOULEVARD (HAP 2021­10)

            The Council adopted the resolution approving a Request for a Historic Alteration Permit including requests for exceptions to zoning standards, at 1043 Ocean Boulevard (Attachment 1).

 

10.       CITY COUNCIL:

b.         CONSIDERATION OF APPOINTMENT OF ONE NEW MEMBER TO SERVE A THREE-YEAR TERM ON THE HISTORIC RESOURCE COMMISSION

            The Council appointed Joshua Bey to serve a three-year term to expire December 31, 2024, on the Historic Resource Commission.

c.         APPROVE CHANGES TO THE FISCAL YEAR 2021­22 BUDGET AT MID­YEAR Council received a report and approved the recommended Fiscal Year (FY) 2021­22 mid­year budget adjustments as listed in Attachments C.

 

d.         CONTINUED: QUARTERLY TASKS AND PROJECTS PROGRESS REPORT

            The Council received a report and directed staff to adjust project priorities as listed on Page 130 of the staff report.

 

12.       COMMUNICATIONS ­ WRITTEN:

a.         Consideration of a Policy #2 Request from Mayor Bailey for Review of the Coronado Municipal Code Section 1.80.030 Regarding Term Limits

            The Council approved the request to review the Coronado Municipal Code section regarding term limits on a future agenda.
