Safe Routes to School

Safe Routes to School Education Grant

Safe Routes to School WorkshopThe City of Coronado has completed its second year of a Safe Routes to School Education project with funding provided by the California Department of Transportation and SANDAG. The project provided student and parent education on pedestrian, bicyclist, and traffic safety, as well as the benefits of using active transportation to get to and from school. The City of Coronado, Circulate San Diego, and the San Diego Bicycle Coalition worked with Coronado schools to provide bicycle and pedestrian safety workshops, bicycle skills courses, and media releases providing tips and information on best practices.
