The Avenue of Heroes Program is a military service recognition program sponsored by the City of Coronado. Nominations are accepted on a continuing basis and the public is encouraged to nominate a deserving veteran -- living or deceased -- that has honorably served their country.  The Avenue of Heroes Program is an inspirational way for the Coronado community to honor the many men and women who have lived here during their military careers.  The City of Coronado, VFW Post 2422(External link), the Third & Fourth Streets Neighborhood Association, and the Coronado Historical Association (External link) partnered to develop the Avenue of Heroes program.
