The City of Coronado is committed to providing affordable housing opportunities for those in need in our community. The Affordable Housing Special Revenue Fund is in place to fund new construction, rent subsidies, and the rehabilitation of affordable housing units in Coronado.
Affordable housing is only available to those who meet certain income requirements. These income requirements are set by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, per the San Diego County median income. Tenants are required to submit an annual income certification to verify eligibility. These requirements, which are set by the State and Federal Governments, are the same throughout San Diego County.
Each affordable property is managed individually. Therefore, the City does not maintain waiting lists nor does the City directly certify tenants for program eligibility. To find out if there are any vacancies or to be added to a property's waiting list, contact the property managers indicated on the Coronado Affordable Housing Flyer.
To request that a paper copy of the Affordable Housing Flyer be mailed to you, please contact Coronado Affordable Housing in the Contact Us section of this website.
