County of San Diego Department of Housing and Community Development

Assists low-income families with their housing needs, including Section 8 rental programs.

San Diego Housing Federation

U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development

Helps individuals find safe and sanitary homes, while enforcing the nation's fair housing laws. Call (619) 557-2600 or online at www.hud.gov

South Bay Community Services

Provides a 24-hour hotline dedicated to assisting renters with ensuring fair housing laws are followed, as well as various counseling and community services. Call (800) 640-2933 or online at www.southbaycommunityservices.org

Catholic Charities

Provides transitional housing, emergency shelter and low-income housing services. Meals, showers, and support services are offered. Call (619) 696-9042 or (619) 231-2898

YWCA

Serves homeless women, children and survivors of domestic violence through programs including transitional housing, counseling, and legal assistance. Call (619) 239-0355 or online at www.ywcasandiego.org

Interfaith Shelter Network

Aging and Independence Services

Provides assistance to seniors, HIV/AIDS patients and the mentally ill. (800) 510-2020

St. Vincent De Paul Village

The Access Center

San Diego Regional Center

Center for Community Solutions

Offers prevention, intervention, and temporary housing services for survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence. Call (760) 747-6281 or online at www.ccssd.org

Episcopal Community Services

Women's Resource Center

Provides emergency and transitional housing, referrals, counseling, and support services to victims of domestic abuse. Call (760) 757-3500.

St. Clare's Home

Provides homeless and abused women and their children 90-day emergency shelter service, and a counseling program. Call (760) 741-0122

Senior Citizens Legal Services

Fair Housing Council of San Diego County
