Notice of Planned SDG&E Power Outage
CORONADO, Calif. (November 14, 2013) - The City of Coronado is helping to get the word out about a planned SDG&E power outage scheduled for Monday, November 18, at 8 p.m. The outage is expected to last up to 10 hours.
SDG&E officials say the outage is necessary to replace cable and a switch in the area. The work will be performed weather permitting and barring any other unforeseen circumstances.
The outage will affect two traffic signals under the control of the State Department of Transportation:
* Signal at Silver Strand Way at Avenida de las Arenas
* Signal at Strand Way at Pomona Avenue
The outage also will affect the following addresses:

SDG&E requires notification if a generator will be used or if customer-scheduled maintenance will be performed during the planned outage. Any generators must be isolated from SDG&E's electric system before connecting.
To prevent data loss and damaged equipment, be sure to shut off or disconnect all sensitive electronic equipment, such as computers and fax machines, before the outage begins. This outage will affect your alarm system and may affect a private phone system. Please contact your alarm and phone maintenance staff if you have any questions.
SDG&E will perform the work quickly to minimize the impacts. In the event of unexpected circumstances, this outage could last longer than planned or be canceled due to emergency calls.
