5. CONSENT CALENDAR:
a. Approval of Reading by Title and Waiver of Reading In Full of Ordinances on this Agenda. Approved.
*b. Review and Approve that the Warrants, as Certified by the City/Agency Treasurer, are all Correct, Just, and Conform to the Approved Budget for FY 2012-2013. Approved.
c. Confirmation of Selection Process and Award of a Contract for As-Needed Consultant Services for Storm Water and Waste Water Compliance and Program Management to LaRoc Environmental. Approved.
d. Authorization to Execute a Purchase Agreement Through a Cooperative Purchasing Program for a Replacement Combination Vacuum/Jetter Cleaning Vehicle. Approved.
e. Award of Contract to SRM Contracting & Paving in the Amount of $890,032 for the Street, Curb, and Gutter Project FY 11/12 and Re-Allocate an Additional $100,000 of TransNet Funds from the Street Curb and Gutter FY 12/13 Project.Approved.
f. Execution of a Second Amendment to the Grant of Easement Agreement for the Access Way Known as the "Paseo Del Mar" Together with a Resolution to Vacate a Portion of the Paseo Del Mar and a Grant of Easement for Emergency Vehicle Access over Said Vacated Portion of the Paseo Del Mar Adjacent to the Hotel del Coronado.Approved.
g. Filing of the Quarterly Treasurer's Reports for the City and the Successor Agency to the Community Development Agency for the City of Coronado for the Quarter Ending March 31, 2013.Approved.
h. Authorization for the City Manager to Execute a Renewal Agreement for Microsoft Enterprise Licensing of Office Automation Software. Approved.
i. Authorization to Advertise the Scenic Bike Loop Bicycle Transportation Account (BTA Grant) Project for Bid. Approved.
j. Authorization to Execute an Agreement
for Professional Services and Negotiate Contract Terms with ThirdWave
Corporation for Creation of an Information Technology Strategic Plan. Approved.
k. Consideration of City Council Meeting Schedule for July and August2013. The Council canceled the July 2 and August 6 meetings.
l. City Management's Approach, Principles, Applied Techniques and Timeline for Preparation and Implementation of the FY 2013-14 Financial Plan. Approved.
m. Consideration of Request from San Diego Worldwide Initiative to Safeguard Humanity (WISH) for the City to Serve as Host of the 2013 Peace and Humanity Day. Approved.
8. PUBLIC HEARINGS:
a. Public Hearing: Introduction of an Ordinance of the City Council of the City of Coronado, California, Repealing Subsections 2.46.020(D) and 2.66.020(B) of the Coronado Municipal Code to Conform with the Recent Change in Membership Requirements for Members of the Historic Resource Commission. The City Clerk presented the item; the public hearing was held; the introduction of the ordinance was approved; and the City Clerk read the title of the proposed ordinance.
b. Public Hearing: Adoption of a Resolution of the City Council of the City of Coronado, California, Reauthorizing the Levying of Assessments During Fiscal Year 2013-14 on Four Hotel Businesses (Hotel del Coronado, Glorietta Bay Inn, Coronado Island Marriott & Loews Coronado Bay Resort) within the Coronado Tourism Improvement District (CTID). A presentation was made by the Assistant City Manager; the public hearing was held; no protests were made; and the resolution was adopted reauthorizing the levying of assessments.
c. Public Hearing: Adoption of a Resolution Adopting a Revised Schedule for the Regional Transportation Congestion Improvement Program Fee to Mitigate the Impacts of Development of Residential Units on the San Diego Regional Transportation Arterial System for FY 2013/14. A presentation was made by the Director of Engineering and Project Development; the public hearing was held; and the resolution was adopted increasing the existing uniform transportation mitigation fee by two percent from $2,165 to $2,209 for each newly constructed residential unit.
11. CITY COUNCIL:
b. Adoption of a Resolution Authorizing the City Manager to Execute an Extension of the Memorandum of Understanding Between the City of Coronado and the Coronado Firefighters' Association for Fiscal Year 2013-2014. Approved.
13.COMMUNICATIONS - WRITTEN:
a. Receive and File a Copy of Letter Sent Expressing Opposition to AB 5-Homeless Person's Bill of Rights and Fairness Act.Approved.
