The talk will be held at 3p.m. in the Winn Room. Sperry is the author of "Mariachi for Gringos" and lectures regularly on the subject. Sperry's presentation is expected to both entertaining and informative.

A mariachi concert will follow at 4:30 p.m., performed by the Mariachi Diamante de San Diego. The group is led by maestro and educator David Rodriguez. Mariachi Diamante performs at events and festivals throughout the region and the Southwest. Mariachi Diamante will perform some of the best musical selections of the mariachi tradition.
