Coronado Street, Sewer Improvements Set to Begin
Coronado, CA (August 18, 2011) - Crews are ready to start work on the City's Street Rehabilitation and Sewer Main Replacement Project to repave roads, and to repair or replace portions of damaged sewer pipes around Coronado.
Crews will start work in the Coronado Cays on Monday, August 22, and finish up by September 29.
Construction in the Village area is expected to begin September 15 and end by January 22, 2012.
Sewer pipe work will be conducted on First Street, Second Street and Encino Row in the Village. The following streets will be repaved: First Street, from Orange Avenue and First Street's eastern terminus; Second Street, between A Avenue and the D/Orange Avenue alley; Park Place; and Star Park Circle.
Additionally, the following streets in the Coronado Cays also will be repaved: Aruba Bend; St. Christopher's Lane; and Kingston Court (all three legs).
The western edge of Encino Row will be resurfaced and receive a new curb and gutter to address minor damage from tree roots, as well as small drainage issues. The construction contract for the project has been awarded to Granite Construction.
