Development/Construction Projects: Storm Water Review and Approval
The Department of Public Services is responsible for implementing the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Permit Order No. R9-2013-0001, which is further enforced by Coronado Municipal Code Title 61: Storm Water and Urban Runoff Management and Discharge Control. This Permit requires the Development and Construction community to comply with minimum best management practices.
Public Services reviews and approves storm water requirements relevant to development and construction projects. We aim to assist you through the review process and encourage you to contact us prior to submitting your project. All projects shall meet the minimum storm water requirements prior to receiving building permits.
Storm Water counter support is offered Tuesday and Thursday between 8:00 am – 12:00 pm. Otherwise, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org, 619-522-7387 or 619-522-2653.
All projects have a construction and post-construction phase and each phase shall meet the minimum requirements based on the project category. Project categories are distinct for the construction phase and post-construction phase and are determined by completing Form 1. Attached are available storm water forms and documents. The FORMS can be completed electronically.
