Library Cards & Loan Periods

LIBRARY CARDS AND LOAN PERIODS:
Library Card Applications are available at the front desk. Two pieces of identification are required.  If your current address is not on your photo ID you will need two additional pieces of identification for name and address verification. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
 

LIBRARY CARD REQUIREMENTS:

CA Residents (Free Cards)

Adult- must be 18 years or older. Must show CA Driver’s license or CA State ID and provide one piece of mail.

Child- Must have parent or guardian present. Parent must also have a library card and sign for the child.

 

Military and Military Dependent (Free Cards)

 Military- Must have Driver’s License or State ID (Any State) and Active Duty Military ID. Patron must also know his or her full command address.

Military Dependent- Must have Driver’s License or State ID (Any State) with military ID and one piece of mail with current address

Child Military Dependent- Must have parent or guardian present. Parent must also have a library card and sign for the child.

 

Non-Resident ($10 Card)

Adult- Must be 18 years or older. Must show Driver’s License or State ID (US Only) and provide one piece of mail or documentation showing a CA Address

Child- Child- Must have parent or guardian present. Parent must also have a library card and sign for the child. Child card is also $10 charge

 

Multiple Home Ownership

Adults who have an out of state Driver’s License (ex. Arizona) but also OWN property in CA may get a free library card if they can provide proof of ownership such as a tax receipt, deed or any official documentation.

 

Replacement Cards $5

  • New Books - 14 Days 14 Day Renewal
  • Magazines - 7 Days (Back Issues) No Renewals
  • DVDs and Blu-rays - 7 Days $.50 fee at checkout No Renewals
  • CDs and Playaways  - 28 Days 14 Day Renewal
