TENNIS
Coronado is proud to offer tennis to the public at four locations throughout Coronado.
  • Coronado Tennis Center - located at 1501 Glorietta Blvd., has 8 courts, 3 lighted.
  • Coronado High School - located at 555 D Ave., has 4 courts, all lighted.
  • Coronado Library Courts - located at 1014 6th St., has 2 courts, all lighted.
  • Coronado Cays Courts - located on Coronado Cays Blvd., has 5 courts, 4 lighted.
The City currently contracts with USPTA Professional 1 Phillip D. Hopkins.  Mr Hopkins offers private lessons and clinics.  He operates the Pro Shop located at the Coronado Tennis Center and offers racket stringing, ball machine rental, a complete line of tennis merchandise and video stroke analysis.  For more information call the Coronado Tennis Center at (619) 435-1616.
 
CORONADO TENNIS ASSOCIATION
Coronado Tennis Association coordinates with the City's Tennis Professional to offer partication in year-round events to include Round Robins (mixed), Ladies Round Robins, and three Team Tennis sessions.  They coordinate various tournaments for adults and juniors.  For more information on the Coronado Tennis Association and the programs they offer, please contact President Jennie Portelli at (619) 437-4348.
